11+ Coronavirus Update

Eleven Plus

Unsure if the 11+ is still going ahead? Not sure about the registration process? Should you continue to prepare for the 11+?

Preparing for the 11+ can be a challenging process. We completely understand that the added confusion based around current uncertain times only adds to this challenge. This blog aims to clear up some of these uncertainties and help provide some clarity as to the current situation with the 11+.

Is the 11+ still going ahead? There has been no mention of the 11+ being cancelled and the registration dates are planned to open up as normal.

How do I register for the 11+? Each local authority will be different and it’s important to check your local council website for up-to-date information. For the Kent Test, registration opens on the 1st June and closes at midnight on the 1st July. The Medway Test registration opens on the 1st June and closes on the 29th June. Applications for the independent Mayfield procedure opens between 9am on 1st June and closes at 4pm on 1st July on the Mayfield School website.

Should I still prepare my child for the 11+? Yes, we would advise that you continue to help your child become familiar with the format and content of the 11+. Check out our ‘Home Teaching’ page for some resources to support your teaching and learning at home.
