Literacy After School Clubs

£10.50 per child

Our Literacy after school clubs are award-winning, small group classes offering a range of fun and exciting literacy based activities. With a focus on creative writing, our highly skilled and experienced teachers skilfully weave in handwriting, spelling, punctuation and grammar practise. These sessions are fantastic to help support your child’s learning goals in order for them to reach their full potential. Our clubs are based in local schools and typically run for an hour straight after school.

Each session begins with handwriting and spelling practise based on your child’s statutory spellings and topic for their year group. The main section then moves on to cover a weekly theme such as the circus, holidays, space, pets, parties, the jungle and even technology. All session plans are based on the National Curriculum and focus on genres such as story writing, letter writing, news reports, poetry, non-chronological reports, persuasive texts and much more. To complete the session, the children will share their work and ideas and have a go at a weekly riddle. With stickers, star or the week, certificates and rewards galore, Literacy club is also a great way to improve your child’s confidence with reading and writing.

Activity Holiday Clubs

free for children on Free school meals


Our holiday clubs are the most amazing (even if we say so ourselves!), activity day camps for children aged 5-11. With a wide range of arts and crafts, sports, cooking and baking and free play activities on offer every day for your children - there really is something for everyone! Everyday brings the arrival of a new enrichment including animal encounters, bouncy castles and dance workshops at Summer, a full panto, a visit from Santa and a magic show at Christmas and the arrival of the Easter bunny, a disco and nerf wars at Easter. Timings and costs vary but typically run from 10am-2pm and cost £147 per four days (including lunch). In partnership with The Education People and Kent Holiday Activities and Food Programme, our holiday clubs are FREE for for children on Free School Meals (please use your evouchers/wonde to secure a slot). Upcoming Activity Holiday Clubs - Summer @ Whitehill Primary School & Nursery AND Summer @ Westcourt Primary School & Nursery

  • Arts and crafts - clay, painting, nature art, collage etc.

  • Cooking and baking - mocktail making, biscuit decorating, fruit kebabs, cupcake decorating etc.

  • Sports - obstacle courses, football, rugby, benchball, gymnastics, dodgeball, mini sports day, badminton, parachute games etc.

  • Free play - play dough, lego, board games, puzzles, card games, books, building blocks, colouring, collage, word searches

  • Example enrichments - Rivers Rodents (a hands on sensory animal encounter) and Busy Bodies with Jess (hair braiding, glitter tattoos, face painting, party games, sports activities)

  • A hot healthy lunch provided every day (e.g. roast dinner, pasta, jacket potato, fishfingers and wedges) with a salad bar and healthy snacks too
