Core Values

It’s been a while since we blogged! I must get better at keeping the blog up to date! I noticed recently that the blog titled “My Story, My Why” is a little out of date considering the number of changes that have been going on here at T W Tutors!

All of those things written in 2020 still ring true – the importance of matching children to their perfect tutor, bespoke tailored teaching to meet each child’s individual needs, the importance of developing self-esteem and a growth mindset and placing huge value on teacher autonomy.

As T W Tutors has evolved and grown, our work has become a little more multi-faceted and alongside our private tuition work we now offer a range of other services including tuition groups based in schools and activity holiday clubs.

Along with the key ingredients we’ve valued since the beginning, our newer endeavours also add a slightly different focus. Our Literacy tuition groups are modelled on high quality lesson plans delivered by engaging and passionate teachers with an emphasis on accelerated learning for each child. They developed from a desire to bring affordable, high quality tuition to all children.

All of our work is child-centred and none more so than our activity holiday clubs. These clubs are just fantastic and allow us to give back to the local community, offering children free funded places for holiday activity day camps over Christmas, Easter and summer. They offer much more than childcare and fun activities, they bring children together to make new friendships, offer them a chance to try new things, give them a warm and healthy meal every day and offer a Christmas, Easter and summer holiday that they deserve. It really is such a special part of T W Tutors and it is incredible to see so many happy and grateful faces throughout the clubs.

With this in mind, we’ve taken a look at our core values as a company and given them a little revamp to make sure they are in line with our current focus and goals.

Child – centred meaning children are at the core of all we do.

Progress – centred meaning we have a focus on progress, educationally and holistically.

Heart – centred meaning we work with compassion, kindness and fun to support self-esteem and wellbeing.
